charmed {finally… a finish!}

So I was too excited not to run out and take a few photos of my latest finish… the light wasn’t brilliant so most of them are sporting a {gorgeous!?} shadow, I did manage to get a few with the last bit of sunlight {in a respectable location} in our backyard.

This, is part of what a week of late night and nap time sewing can accomplish {that and a few more nearly-finished projects I will share next week}.

I’ve named this one charmed, and I’m just a little bit in love with it. I used nearly all of the charms that I received in the recent Kate Spain Aussie charm swap, and have been giving a few sneaky peaks on Instagram during the week. I love the colour pop in this quilt, and due to its smallish size, am planning to turn it into a wall hanging. I will {one day} have an empty wall in my sewing room that will be the perfect spot!

I’ve written a tutorial for this quilt, that I will post next week {or once the backing fabric arrives and I can bind it and enter it in the Charm Along}. Until then… more of those shadow-y photos to tempt you!

{the back is almost as pretty as the front…}

p.s Ms Midge will be announcing another swap in the next month or so – I’m going to try and join up again, and would love for you to join us!
