Description

Morocco – quilt pattern by LIVE.LOVE.SEW Pattern Co. {#108}

I have always loved the richness and complexity of Moroccan artworks; repeating patterns and tilework all giving such a big punch of colour and design appeal. Moroccan is my variation of a zellige tile pattern, and the colour and intensity of this beautiful art form.

Reviews

  1. I have been quilting for 35 years and don’t tend to buy a lot of patterns but this one caught my eye and I kept coming back to it over and over so decided to treat myself to a little “Easter” gift and purchased the pattern. So glad I did because it is a delight to make. Did the first 4 blocks this afternoon …… took most of the morning pulling fabric from my stash which was a lot harder than the actual pattern is to make. For those of us who have been collecting fabric for years this is a great pattern for stash busting. The pattern is well written and easy to follow. I love PDF patterns because if I find the fonts a bit small I just copy the area and increase the size of the print. The other thing I like about PDF patterns is printing the cover in black and white so I can study the design and pick my fabric with out being influenced by the colors the designer has used (not that they aren’t gorgeous Keera but it opens up my mind to more choices.) I know I will be making more of this pattern. My first one is in blues and can be seen on Instagram @quiltsalad. For sure I will be purchasing more of Live Love Sew patterns because I like patterns that are well written and keep the designs clean so that the fabric can sing. Thanks for a great piecing experience Keera.

    • You are too kind Sally! Thankyou so much for your lovely review of this pattern. Morocco is a firm favourite of mine, and your quilt top is sure to be stunning in those blue fabrics! Your words mean so much to me – this is the reason I design; giving quilters and opportunity to tell their own stories is happiness in its purest form.
      Thankyou for giving me something to smile about today Sally! xx
